Accessing the Journal of Museum Education through MER's membership portal (powered by Wild Apricot):

MER members have full online access to past and current issues of the Journal of Museum Education through our publishing partner, Taylor & Francis. Please note that you must first login to this page and follow the links below any time you wish to access the archives.

Additionally, MER is pleased to offer in partnership with the Visitor Studies Association, complimentary online access to Visitor Studies.

Accessing the Journal of Museum Education through MER's main website (museumedu.org):

  • On MER's website, select "member login" and enter your MER account credentials.

  • Navigate to "Journal" and select the issue you would like to view. Click on "full issue" from the journal entries.

  • This will bring you through to the JME issue on the Taylor & Francis website (though you will not need to log in again on T&F's website - your username and password will only work on MER's site).  When logged in with your MER account, a banner at the top of the T&F page will say “Access provided by Museum Education Roundtable.”

  • From the selected journal issue, you may navigate to previous JME issues and use the search function on T&F's website.

Tips for logging in on MER's website:

  • Our membership software occasionally doesn't work with certain browsers, such as Google Chrome.  Try clearing your browser cache, or using another web browser (such as Firefox or Microsoft Edge.)

  • Be sure you are using the "Member login" at the top of the page.  MER is hosted by WordPress, which occasionally shows other WordPress users an option to login to the WP engine - this will not log you in to MER.
